All About Your Teacher
Education: Bachelors of Science in Education degree from Blue Mountain College
Masters in Reading from Arkansas State
Bio:
NAME: Mrs. Brandy Bailey
SCHOOL: Oak Grove Elementary School
GRADE ASSIGNMENT: 4th Grade Language Arts
I was born in Batesville, Mississippi. After living in Louisiana, Tennessee, and South Carolina, I returned to Mississippi to attend Blue Mountain College. I graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Education.
I met my husband, Victor, while teaching at Delta Academy in Marks, MS. We moved to Hernando in May of 2000. We love this town and the people in it. I started teaching Language Arts at Oak Grove in 2000, and I moved to the SPED Department in the 2009. I returned to teach 4th Grade Language Arts again in 2012. In August of 2018, I received my Masters in Reading degree from Arkansas State University.
My husband and I have two children. My daughter is named Abigail, and my son is named Alexander. We love to read and spend time outdoors. Our family also includes our pets. Sadie Jo is a Russian Blue cat, Nora is a Himalayan Cat, and our dog, Jemma, completes our family. My hobbies are swimming, shopping, reading, and gardening.
My Personal Mission:
I love to teach. My goal is to help every child find and develop his or her talents. I believe parents, children, and teachers must take active roles in the educational process. By working hard, each child can master our 4th grade skills on his or her own learning timeline.
