Welcome to 5th grade Science and Social Studies! These exciting subjects are invaluable components of education, and it is my goal to foster a love/deep respect for these subjects. This class is designed to be interactive, hands-on, and real-life oriented. Science will consist of many STEM activities and will require a willingness to grow and lots of creativity. Social Studies will consist of a variety of historical accounts, geographical content, and information on how to be an informed citizen of the United States of America. All topics will be covered with the utmost respect, and will be introduced in a way that is hopefully fun and exciting to the students.

I cannot wait to have your students in class this year!

Education and Experience: I recently graduated in May 2023 from Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. This is my first year teaching!

Certification(s): I am certified to teach K-6 all subjects, K-8 Math, K-12 Social Studies, and K-12 Reading.

Personal Info: I am married to my wonderful husband, Brandon. We have two adorable dogs, Tate and Lilo, who keep our lives very interesting. Our family loves being outdoors, whether we're hiking, camping, swimming, boating, etc. We also love to travel and find new places to eat delicious food!
