Parents/Students,
Hi, and welcome to 4th grade! I am so thankful that you are giving me the opportunity to teach your child! There are many changes taking place in my classroom as we enter a new school year! This year has brought about many challenges for us to face as parents, educators, and students; but I will do everything I can to make sure you child is safe, loved, and learning. It is my goal to make the absolute best out of this school year for your child! I am thrilled to be returning to the job I love so much!
Let me share a few things about myself. I am a Desoto County School graduate, so I know how wonderful the schools are in this county, and what wonderful teachers and students are present here. I graduated from Olive Branch High, and my husband and I currently reside in Hernando, MS. I love Hernando, and I am so proud to call it home. I went to college at Delta State University. I bleed green and white, and I am a proud "Fighting Okra". My husband and I will be celebrating our 14th wedding anniversary at the end of September. We have two boys who have brought us so much joy. Family is everything to me. My son Ryan is 11 and will be a 6th grader at HMS this year. My youngest, John Abram, will be in 2nd grade this year. Being a mom is my favorite thing!
Aside from spending time with my wonderful family; I enjoy reading, participating in activities at my church, traveling, cooking, watching my boys play soccer, and being at the beach.
This is my 17th year as a teacher, and I absolutely love my job! I believe that teaching is truly my special calling in life, and I will do anything I can to make sure that your child has a successful year in 4th grade. As a team, we can work together to build your child's reading and language skills. I'm looking forward to a fantastic year! Again, thank you for giving me the opportunity to teach your child!
Sincerely, Mrs. Hollingsworth
