Welcome to fourth grade English and Social Studies! I am very excited to be working with your students this year! I try to make class as fun as possible, I am very creative for review games, and I enjoy helping students find a new love for learning and school! Classwork assignments will be completed in class, homework will be given out in paper copies, and the newsletters will be sent home in paper copies (please keep newsletters in the homework folder until the next one is passed out). There will be items posted onto Schoology for extra instruction or practice for students!
About the Teacher
Education and Experience: I graduated from DeSoto Central High School in 2015. I graduated from the University of Mississippi in 2021 with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. I am currently working to complete a Master's degree in the Science of Reading.
Certification(s): I am certified in Special Education in grades kindergarten through twelfth.
Personal Info: I love anything chocolate, peanut butter, or spicy. I have a heart condition so I am sadly unable to have anything with heavy amounts of caffeine. I adore the smells from soaps and candles. I have an unhealthy love for Chick - fil - a chicken nuggets and anything from Sonic. One of my all time favorite things is to receive handmade cards from students!
