Bio

Oh, Mrs. Pettigrew!

I am Lauren Pettigrew, formerly known as Miss Galloway. I am from Hernando, MS. I recieved all of my childhood education from Desoto County Schools and graduated from Hernando High School. I went on to obtain a Bachelor of Arts in Education with an endorsement in English from the University of Mississippi! It is safe to say, I am a ridiculous Ole Miss fan. I love Oxford, I love the Grove, and I especially love the memories I made as a student!

In May of 2013, I married my best friend, Barry. We live in Hernando with our two dogs Bella and Bailey. We had our first child, Ollie B February 27th of this year. She is as sassy as her mother and we couldn't love her more. We love the Lord and attend church at Colonial Hills in Hernando. In my free time, I can be found running the streets, at the gym, shopping, or by the pool. I enjoy all things outdoors and anything that deals with fashion.

At OGCE, I reside on Hall 4 in Room 43. It is normal for me to be heard before I am seen. I enjoy teaching Language Arts and challenging my students to be risk takers. Before teaching at OGCE, I spent 5 years as a 7th grade Language Arts teacher, student council sponsor, & common core leader at Horn Lake Middle. I take pride in my job as a teacher & mentor to the students of OGCE. I believe with every inch of my being that our students are the best in the county and are truly made for excellence.
